This is an anthology collected by Dewi Roberts. The pieces (poetry and prose) all relate to rivers, lakes and reservoirs in Wales. He has chosen work by some of Wales' best-known writers and those who have written about Wales (mostly writers in English, but there are some Welsh-language pieces too).

Author Biography:
Dewi Roberts is an experienced compiler of anthologies.

Phil Cope is a photographer, writer and teacher. He has undertaken a large number of arts, media and heritage consultancies throughout the UK, and worked for Cultural Enterprise (Wales). He has researched, written and designed several major exhibitions, and has permanent exhibitions in several eminent museums. He has published many books, including Holy Wells: Wales, a photographic journey (Seren, 2008), of which Jan Morris wrote, ‘the ancient wells of Wales, captured as they have never been caught before by the photographs in this book’.

Further Information:
Authors include Henry Vaughan, William Wordsworth, Vernon Watkins, Charles Kingsley, Bobi Jones, Gillian Clarke, William Williams (Pantycelyn), John Barnie, Gerard Manley Hopkins, Edward Thomas, R. S. Thomas and Gladys Mary Coles.

They are accompanied by colour photographs by Phil Cope.

This work is an exciting and effective combination of Dewi Roberts’ subtle and skillful compiling of texts and the wonderful photographs by Phil Cope. The result is a fine celebration of water in Wales.
