Further Information:
This book, Wales after 1536, is the final book in a trilogy of Welsh historical guides. The other two books are Wales before 1066 and Wales before 1536.

Wales after 1536 takes the reader from the religious quarrels of the Reformation years in the 16th century, through the tumultuous upheaval of civil war in the 17th and the vital religious and educational movements of the 18th century to the middle of the 19th, by which time the Welsh people, especially those who lived in the over-hastily industrialised valleys of the south and in the coal and iron fields of the north-east of Wales, had experienced the full horrors of the Industrial Revolution.
