Further Information:
The supernatural is ever present in Wales today and in Welsh history and in her latest volume of such tales, the author has collected ancient stories and also a few recent accounts of ghostly encounters.
Wales, although small, is one of the most prolific in its fund of supernatural tales from the beginning of time. Take an easy walking route up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), when a red summer sun is slowly sinking into the west. Look down on the dark farms, listen to the eerie cry of the seagulls passing above your head and the hooting of the owls. Look upwards towards the summit and see if you can make out the outline of Rhita the Giant's grave. In this age-old setting, remember one or two of the stories of the supernatural you have read in this book and then say to yourself the words of the great Bard of Avon: 'There are more things in Heaven and Earth. Horatio.'
